I also attended the first DIR demo on the GE. Then, even more so than now, DIR was a pretty novel idea to CA divers. That demo may have centered more on the hardware than on the software aspect of DIR, but what do you expect? Should someone have produced generic gear or remove the labels just to avoid inherent advertising? This was a free-of-charge event and it is only fair that the company that provided the demo gear gets some name recognition en passant.
For the upcoming demo at Scuba Toys--how would you handle the gear presentation and hands-on testing and avoid any brand contact?
