Sorry, Richard, but you've got at least some of your facts wrong. MHK was diving with me on that trip to Eureka. The GE was live boating and was down current of the rig when MHK got in. Rather than fight against the current rigged for a 300+ fsw dive, he called for pick up and reposition. Seemed pretty sensible to me.
Despite the swell and current, the dive to 340 fsw actually went off without a hitch and was a good test of MHK's breakaway deco station.
As I recall, the trip was originally set for Matterhorn. Are you on the April 21 trip to Matterhorn this year?
