I asked a venerable dive master at one of our local scuba stores here in Northern California ( the abalone capital of the world) what he made of all the fuss currently in Southern Califonia (the spiny lobster capital of the world) regarding "D.I.R." and he said "aw thats just a bunch of balogney started by some florida cave divers who are doing it all wrong!" ... sour grapes if ever there were sour ones, for sure!
