and i would hate to be wrong by disagreeing with anyone who pointed that out! i just usually ask others to refrain from repeating the obvious, and therefore instead to get on with making their technical point(s). then i use a fact-to-opinion quotient to determine the value of what they have said. the more facts, the better. opinions need to be supported by facts to be persuasive, unless someone is attempting to employ an emotional or popular argument, both of the latter of which being fallacies in formal logic and forensic debate and criminal law. in other words, sticks and stones, uzzis and AK-47s, may break my bones, but words roll off me like water off a ducks back!
