As I've just posted below, the emphasis now is on rigid pre-dive planning, preparing for any and all potential mishaps regardless how remote their occurance might be. Sort of like, lightening does strike and kill people every year, world-wide, so we should equip ourselves with lightening rods in the unlikely event we get struck sometime in our lives. Okay, that analogy might be a stretch but it's in the ballpark. Hey, I want to anticipate shit happening, too, but within reason, and still retain the joy of diving.
