Wouldn't an open end lift bag of say 50 to 100 lbs 0f lift work for backup in extreme cases? Just shove reg under bag for a few seconds to inflate or just inflate on your exhalations? We use bags here in michigan in case we lose the anchor line on a wreck to run an ascent line. Definitely DON'T clip onto BC though. Just a thought.
