I like Sundiver myself (but I'm in Orange County so its close).
For Dive spots at the Island I like:
Blue Cavern (near Two Harbors)(small cave you can swim into and good kelp around it)
Eagle Reef (also near Two Harbors but on the other side of the inlet).
Italian Gardens
Valiant Wreck (just outside the Casino Dive Park)
