I live on the gulf coast. Around here if it is too rough to do your deco, it is too rough to even get your boat out. I can think of a number of reasons why that might not be true for you, but I am out in left field just guessing.
1) Perhaps ya'll are forced to use bigger boats?
2) Waves can spring up on you more unexpectedly?
3) I know you guys have good shore dives (we don't). Do you actually have deep shore dives as well?
