My "shot" across your techno-babble bow, my friend, is a simple question: why, after so many years of diving wet steel is this even an issue of any consequence? Wet steel was dove very successfully for quite a few years before the BC was even invented. We weighted ourselves for slight positive bouyancy on the surface and went diving with ditchable weights which we sometimes, but rarely, ditched. The last thing our poor beleaguered sport needs are these endless posts of stuff totally irrelevant to safe, enjoyable sport scuba diving, in my personal opinionated opinion.
