You're absolutely right on all points. Notice that I defined "danger" as any time the diver is negatively buoyant, even just a little. That was just for the purpose of the analysis. Obviously danger (especially in terms of buoyancy) will vary from diver to diver and from day to day. But I had to draw a line somewhere and the change from pos. to neg. seemed obvious. The point is not that it is necessarily dangerous in any real world sense, but that an arbitrary line has been crossed. I'm with you, I love wet steel and will continue to dive it BUT because I checked it out here, I might modify my next dive on the Tuna Clipper and wear my drysuit with the double HP 120's. Also note the part about SS back plates. That's where a real danger would come in. FWIW
