You hit the nail on the head. We have been talking about balancing your gear for a long time now. I agree that it is important to get off the bottom, but as you say that could possibly result in an AGE..
Some seem to think there is only those two schools of thought, when a more reasoned approach is to provide sufficent balance to *get off * the bottom, but not rocket to the surface in the process..
The ditchable -v- non-ditchable subject gets minor lip-service in classes and then so many divers dive overweighted and having never been taught otherwise, know no better..
