Actually, I think the checkout dives would go something like this:
Instructor picks up a weighted stick (rock, bottle of JD, whatever). Signs the students name on it, and hucks it into the water while yelling "Fetch". If you can bring the stick back to the bar while the instructor is still sober enough to recognize you, you pass!
Of course, my dogs could pass this class, should I have nothing better to do with $200 than have them certified in stick fetching.
My question is how to prevent cheating: Did you dive? Yes. Did anyone see you dive? No. Then how do I know you really did the dive? Here's the stick, can I get a treat?
