We're all going to die, Mike. If you want to mitigate
every risk out there, you wouldn't be doing decompression
in one of the Great Lakes in shorts, either. You can live
life as safely as possible and get struck down by cancer as
well. I keep that in mind when I put off something I want
to do.
If you told those people that if they did their next
dive solo, they'd die, I expect they'd not do it solo.
But they probably would return to it soon enough. Many
of them were experienced enough to make the risk assessment.
Mia skipped over many safety conventions - she certainly
wouldn't have listened to me lecture her against it.
So yeah - I'll agree with him. There's nothing wrong with
a person diving solo and informed.
