Though no one likes a recall, as an Atomic dealer (the B1 is our top-selling reg) I'm pleased with the way Atomic has handled this situation.

Not only are they doing a full factory-service (beyond just replacing the defective spring) and paying shipping both ways, and turning the regs around in a couple of days, but they also personally called the owner of every affected reg for whom they had a warranty card and phone number. We've had a number of our customers walk in and say, "I got a call from Atomic . . . "

It's nice to deal with a company that has the class to own up to a problem and deal with it promptly, let alone in a manner that goes above-and-beyond what many other mfgs would do.
