Hey Karl.

The PADI tables are actually DSAT tables and they
are designed to monitor exposure to Oxygen as well
as Nitrogen.

The allow for more dives during a day, but keep the dives
shallower and shorter. These were designed for Barbie and Ken
on their vacation to get in a bunch of diving.

The Navy/Noaa tables are really designed as
utility tables for long single dives, and very
short and shallow repetitive dives. In other words
they were designed for Seaman Jones to dive to inspect
the pier pilings or the bridge support, or for grad
student Sally to count how many star fish or sea urchins
are in a 10 meter by ten meter grid.

Fundamentally different tables for fundamentally
different tasks.

Kevin
