Dive tables vs. computers: only a $ difference?

Mike, your post response to Karl clearly suggests that tables and computers are of equal value in determining NDL limits. So is the DIR anti-computer position only a dollars and cents issue? If so, I'd rather deal with real time than pre-planned time and pop for the added expense, especially with a back up. I currently dive with the NiTek3 as primary with a Suunto Solution as back up. Given that I'm a super rich commercial actor, what's wrong with that?!
