They were both certified trimix diver's but chose to dive air to save money, they were father and son and had over 500 dives together and if you read the book and what you took out of the book was buddy diving is dangerous than I feel sorry for you...
You had a diver going inside a U-boat solo at 230' on air, and what you took out of the book was sometimes buddy diving is dangerous???
I suggest that you re-read the book..
