typically it's around $550-$600 out of pocket for basic gear,
lessons and two boat trips for OW class. For some shops you will
have to add equipment rentals ($30-$40 per rental day).
Basic gear is: gloves/mask/snorkel/booties/fins and some shops
require your own hood, some rent you one.
