Thanks Kendall for pointing me to Pyle's article. Very interesting reading and he clearly admits up front that he is a fish nerd scientist and that through his own diving fish collection trips to 200' is when he discovered this benefit of the deep stop. He explains it clearly that even a lay person like myself can understand. The benefits are not just the deep tech diver either, even no-deco divers should read this.
