When I first jumped aboard this Board last October I didn't have a clue what DIR, GUE, or WKPP meant. On the basis of the anti posts I chimed in with a knee jerk, equally anti reaction. Wrong. I should have researched and done my homework before taking a position. Had I done so, I would have realized that DIR was not for me and stayed out of the discussion, pro or con, completely. My apologies to all DIR advocates and practioners. I sincerely hope my negative posts haven't influenced anyone on either side of the issue. My official position from now is one of neutrality and I shall stick to philosophies and practices of sport scuba diving that I'm knowledgable about and experienced with. I was guilty of the very thing I admonish others to avoid: contempt prior to investigation.
