Yeah, I know they seem pricey at the moment, but I love mine. I'm a 5'5" woman and just don't have the same quads as a 6'2" 220-lb guy...which I think is a good thing. Anyway, the Volos are smooth as silk and seem to accelerate just fine when necessary, without requiring the effort of a really stiff, heavy blade.
