First off, ocnditions dictate everything. Monastery
can be a perfectly safe place to go. I did my checkout
dives there. Some days of the year, the surf is less
than Breakwaters.

If it builds, the North is more likely to become marginal
than the South. Sometimes your decision is made.

North offers the drop, along with a very nice macro dive
in the 20-30ft range. Esp for a second dive, you can enter,
drop down almost immediately, and do a long dive.

For the south, you need to go out a way to get to the
good stuff in 30-45ft. Lots of large rock formations,
and more surface area for invertibrates to live on. For
the best diving, you really need to kick out as far as
you can bear, then use slightly less than half on an
out pattern, the rest coming back as far as possible.
