No idea what criteria the Navy used. Again, one point of reference only, and not mine since I haven't tried them, but they seem to provide a nice easy effective swim for long distances. They use a flutter kick, get in a rhythem, and go. Tandem. Pace is about 100 fpm over say 1000-2000 yards. These guys are breathing 100% from the LAR V CCR so consumption really isn't an issue. They don't use a frog kick or run a line so some of the problems of split fins are moot. I have no idea what the adoption rate between Jetfins and split fins in the Teams is, either.
