At some point everyone needs to understand that all of these questions are covered in the basic trimix classes and it's important to note that quality training can not be achieved over the internet...

When a diver is planning a mix, the component that truely drives the mix is the 02 content. If you exceed the recomended 02 limits you'll risk oxygen toxicity and as such will likely drown. Accordingly, when we plan a gas we figure the 02 component 1st, and since we try to keep our END's to 100' the He component is easy to figure out..

These are one of the first things that are taught in class so I really encourage you [or anyone else for that matter], to enroll in class and resist the temptation to learn all this stuff over the net...

It isn't as complicated as you think, but shouldn't be taught over a bbs...
