I remember seeing the big eels at blackrock one night. I stopped in to get air before the dive and ythe guys in the shop told me that we would see the "CONGERS" that night. I asked what a conger was and they said really big eels that will swim between your light and your mask. I thought they were kidding! My daughter, who was on her first night dive, grabbed my slate and wrote "BIG EEL" and had huge eyes. I did not think much about it until I had one buzz me.
Last September I dove Black Rock with my wife at night and did not see them.
We wanted to take the kids to Maui this summer. Since the two youngest will be newly certified we wanted to spend time at Old Airport. Nothing like a 30 FSW dive to make diving with a 10 year old easier and less stressful. Since we couldn't get tickets we are doing Cancun Hope it has shore diving!
