Flipping through the Deep Diving book by B. Gilliam test were done on divers to elvaluate narcosis effects based on outside influences and education prior to the diving test. The results are interesting, those who were told that at 130 they would be severely impared were, but the ones who were told what was happeneing to their system and told they could function through it did extremely well and even showed improvement in test scores at 200' and one female at 240' was scoring her highest scores at that depth. Check it out, it is in every dive shop around.
