Big waves@Carmel=poor vis?

I'm looking for any vis or condition reports from Carmel/Monterey. I noticed the waves have picked up big time, up around 10 feet.

I'm debating a trip this weekend but it takes a lot of work (and convincing of the wife) to get down there and it doesn't help the cause to get there and discover the conditions are poor or undiveable.

Even if the waves subside in time, how long does it take for the vis to improve again?

Any feedback would be good.
