Folks:

I got the spam too, but on an eMail account that I never reference when accessing this page. Where else could they have gotten my alternate eMail account?

DEMA?

PADI?

California Diving News?

The CHAMBER DAY eMAILING LIST?

Or is there some hidden mechanism on this page that records the eMail origination of posts to this message board? If so, why didn't I receive the spam at the two other locations I use to access this page?

We need to put our heads together and find out the real culprit and let them know we don't appreciate being Spammed. If the list was stolen by a web bot, we need to let the holder of that list know that thier assets have been filched.

And finally, for everyones protection, when you list your eMail address in a posting, you should always modify it to something like myaddress@NOSPAMdiver.net, with the understanding that "NOSPAM" should be removed when sending a message to that eMail address. This is one way to foil the web bots.
