Conditions were rough with 9-11 ft swells and plenty of wind.
According to the story in the Press Democrat, the diver left his buddies. He was found face down on the surface. Apparently he had a bruise on his forehead, indicating that the surge might have thrown him into a rock.
Too many people die going after those snails!
Remember to dive with an experienced buddy, drop the lead when in trouble, and watch out for Spring Fever induced stupidity!
