Actually, I have an account of a GW sighting by a husband and wife team on a liveaboard at Catalina recently. He was in the water, and she was sitting on the boat reading when a 12-14 footer started circling (they had a chum bucket down, trying to lure flatties). Anyway, she pannicked, and her account is rather interesting. Mr. Teeth really can have the affect on people.
