Eins, you are spitting out utter jiberish. You have no idea what it is you are attempting to discredit. In the senario you mentioned a diver switching to a back-up regulator that doesn't work simply reaches back and turns it on.
Rather than quess at this stuff please have the balls to find out exactly what it is you are attemting to slam before you do so. You can do this by simply joining a "Fundamentals of DIR" course. Thse courses are available to all divers with a safe demeaner and will explain more logic than you have ever concieved in you diving lifes. They are available frequently at Scuba Toys in Cypress Ca.
