I failed in adding to my post that I was talking about a recreational, non-OE application of DIR. I.e., single tank, one first stage.

PS: To slam means criticizing harshly, to verbally attack. I don't think I did nor had I any intention to do that. I was simply questioning. Maybe I should not have used a word like "nonsense", but in a true meaning of that word, all it means is "no sense", and that is what I was referring to. So, feel free to leave the flaming out of this.
