I was snoozing in the forward bunk on the Peace and i could hear the captain cut the engines when we hit a particularly big roller. Needless to say, i wasn't surprised to see the backside of Anacapa in the morning. The diving was great, with a limit of scallops and decent vis (40-70 ft) and it was kinda fun to be doing a 15 ft safety stop while watching the whitecaps froth just overhead....sure was nice to have a jon line! On the way back, it was nothing but whitecaps. A few waves broke over the bow and sitting in the galley, some of those big rollers topped the horizon.
