the wings are interchangeable between doubles ( explorer) and single ( pioneer) wings..
Bu in large I'm not aware of any manufacturer that makes a different BP for singles and doubles..
My only caveat would be that the Halcyon does NOT any longer require a STA, but that aside simply put two holes drilled into a BP is pretty much all there is to it...
As for SS -v- AL, what I do is out here I generally use the SS BP while when I go to Florida in the fresh, warm water caves I don't need the weight and it's easier on the luggage so I bring the AL BP with me...
