I wouldn't blame DFG for the laws on the books anymore than you can blame the police for the traffic laws. They are the enforcers of the laws our elected officals make. Often those laws are watered down versions of what DFG and enviromentalist wanted. Plus as in all government agancies, there's never enough money to hire the people needed to enforce the laws. And the why of that is not just limiting how much taxes people are paying or willing to pay, but where our lawmakers are spending the money too.
