You can't tell me that spear fishing is pulling out more fish then regular fishing boats. I will guarantee you that if the damage that the spear fishing group is causing proves to be a problem and this problem is brought to light there will be stronger enforcement, heavy fines for the diver and the boat captain and the boat owner. There will be boats confiscated. There will be captains licenses pulled. If you think the fishery enforcers are a bunch of wimps then you just go and take your chances. I think there will be big changes when boat owners start to realize how liable they are. When fish and games decides to clamp down I wouldn't want to be the guy holding a lobster that's too small or out of season. I think the current fine is $10,000 per lobster. And I wouldn't want to be the boat owner who has to explain why he let this guy bring it on board.
