Long story short here guys...
The lp inflator can be used , IN AN VERY RARE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY THAT REQUIRES A 3rd REG.
I know of no such situation that has ever occured, nor is the equipment made antcipate such a rare occurance. The fact of the matter is that by holding the purge and the dump at the same time it can be used as a reg.. Why is this such a big deal??????
The difference as I see the two positions is that we are using what we have and it just so happens that by using the dump valve and the lp inflator it becomes a 3rd reg and we are not adding anything additional just using what we have, whereas adding an AIR II, costs money, adds failure points and attempts to solve problems that may never exsist and in so attempting to prepare for the *never should happen* you are adding clutter and failure points...
