I used to deco dive with ceiling obligations until a dive 18 years ago. Everybody on board except two guys (a buddy team) stage decoing. A raging current ripped the anchor loose off a dangerous lee shore, the skipper winched it in, guys of course surfaced, insufficent O2 aboard. By the time an air evac chopper arrived one buddy paralized for life, the other buddy dead. Right then and there I vowed never to dive again with a deco ceiling unless a chamber is on the boat. Immortal we ain't.
