Terry, I have no problem admitting ignorance of many new things in diving, such as "Pyle stops", which I gather is nothing more than stopping for two or three minutes at half the depth of the dive. This was a discovery made by the east coast tech community wasn't it? I may be a dinosaur diver but I'm open and receptive to what you guys are discovering on almost a daily basis. I first heard about the half the depth stop several years ago and have been practicing them ever since. So, bottom line, this discovery is not a DIR thing at all, so why the opposition? Many years ago a friend of mine named Roy Hauser, founder of Truth Aquatics, ended up paralized in a wheelchair after a bounce dive on Farnsworth Bank. Had he made a deep stop or two I'm convinced he wouldn't have been hit and crippled. Live and learn. Thanks.
