Chamber Evening Parking Made Easier

One of the (very legitimate) complaints last year was that when Chamber Evening was over, it took FOREVER to get out of the Aquarium parking structure because everyone was leaving at pretty much the same time and they only had one exit working. (Just for the record, the structure is NOT run by the Aquarium but by a Long Beach City sub-contractor.)

Anyhow, this year, we've got that problem solved.

It's now been arranged (thanks to the efforts of Frank Prelesnik, AOP Security chief and parking liaison guy) that the parking fee ($6) will be collected WHEN YOU ENTER, and the gates will be left open to make for an easier exit at the conclusion of the event.

I don't know if time to exit the parking structure is a significant factor in deciding whether or not to attend Chamber Evening, but regardless, it'll be much easier with this new setup.
