Many years ago I spear fished. When I came back into diving after many years away, I had picked up a new attitued about the enviroment and ecology, so instead of picking up a spear gun or pole, it was a camera instead. I like it much better. I'm able to share one small fish, or a big one, with lots of people, and I have all these pic's of the ones I let get away. Being from Portland Or, I was appaled at a news story the other day. Salom fishing has always been big, but the video of boats stretched across the Willamete river, row after densely packed row just took my breath away. And people wonder why the fish are disappearing. Very sad. And yes John, a little here, and a little there does help.I just don't think it will be enough until the commercial folks understand. This has been a great thread.
