Any thoughts on line cutters? I just got my BC back re-built
and as I put things back where they belong, I look at my little
line cutter with annoyance.
The background is that at Catalina, the Horseshoe kelp and a
couple of other good dive spots, I was constantly diving around
fishing line. The only real problem I ever had was it catches
in that hook at the corner of the goodybag, but I did have to
really dodge it carefully to keep it from ever tangling other
places it might have, like the tank valve. I figured that since
I don't carry a knife, I should get a line cutter. Now, years
after I got it and never having used it in that time, do I
really want it?
So my question is, has anybody ever really needed a line cutter
or knife because of entanglement with fishing line or is it
really a non-issue? Also, what other solutions have people come
up with for this issue?
Enjoy the diving, seahunt
