SeaSnips (Stainless EMT shears) easily cut fishing line. While I've never found a use for a dive knife, I've often used my SeaSnips to cut line, etc. One of the wrecks that I dove regularly in Florida often had dozens of hooks hanging at the end of fishing line caught on a railing. I easily removed the line and hooks, needing only one hand to cut while the other was free to collect the line.
Best of all - they're cheap! Less than $20 (including a holder).
