I always take SeaSnips with me when I go to Florida. I find them particularly useful in the Looe Key Underwater "Marine Reserve" (where divers cannot take fish but anglers can still fish with monofilament line). I remove the ghost monofilament line that is strangling the soft coral. The amount of monofilament line in the reserve is appalling. It doesn't present much of a problem for divers but makes a noticable impact on soft and hard corals. You have to be careful snipping away the line so as to avoid damaging the polyps, but it is very rewarding knowing that you have removed a hazard, and the locals really appreciate it as well.
