"This could be a first for me on the BBS that someone agrees with me."
(hehehe...)

yes, you and i do agree on this issue, but i would
suspect others out there do as well.

= : )

as for solo vs. buddy diving, i have written it
before on this bbs, and i'll write it again:

for me, buddy diving is the only way to go; however,
i do respect those who choose to solo dive and
who have the expertise to do so, as long as
they accept the risk(s) and better prepare themselves
for it. ...perhaps one day when i have achieved
a certain level of experience, i may choose to
solo dive (even if it's on a very limited basis).

but for now and for a while to come, i personally
choose to buddy dive. i also choose not to
force my beliefs onto others and instead let
others decide for themselves, as i would like to
decide for myself.

"I haven't heard that one yet, that would be hard to understand and justify."

keep your eye on your watch, someone should come
along in a few minutes and prove my point; or
else, you can check the archives, b/c it's there
for sure. i know, hard to believe, but then again,
is it any surprise given some personalities on this
board...?...

((just as a reminder--unless something
has changed--'dir' does not promote the use of
pony bottles as redundant air systems, and from
the conversation i remember having on board a
boat trip w/a very die-hard 'dir' diver,
pony bottles are considered to be non-'dir';
however, that could be old news...))
