I would like to clear up any misunderstanding of the IANTD standard that has been spoken about in the last couple of days.
In my 1995 standard the IANTD EANx program was created to train divers in the use of nitrox mixtures between 29% and 36%. The deep air program was desinged to teach divers techniques in deeper diving. And the Anvanced EANx program was designed to further a diver wishing to exceed in the use of Nitrox mixture up to 40% for bottom mixtures and 50% as decompression mixtures.
In my 1999 resision the EANx program was modified to 21% to 40%. The other two courses did'nt change much if any.
In my 1995 IANTD standards either Advanced Deep Air and Technical EANX or EANx Cave or EANx Wreck was a prerequisite for the Trimix Program.
In my 1999 IANTD revision either a IANTD Technical Diver (use EANx or a Technical Cave Diver or a Technical Wreck diver or a Normoxic trimix diver.
