true, and i also remember mhk mentioning that he
actually tried both the 'dive rite' and 'halcyon'
plates (or at least a different plate than 'halcyon')
and he couldn't tell much difference btwn them
and that it came down to personal preference
re:which brand of plate to go with.
so, the insistence to always buy 'halcyon' is
not necessarily true, either...
