and about 130 dives ago, i stopped using it /w/ scuba permanently. Every once in a while, if on a surface swim i am passing over particularly beautiful territory i wish i had it, but overall, it's just one more thing to get lost or broken on a crowded diveboat. I just swim on my back and have had no problems with surface swims either (missed some beautiful things no doubt, especially in the tropics).
