From any perspective (DIR or otherwise), is there any disadvantage to a compact SPG other than perhaps difficulty in reading the smaller display? The advantages seem to be better hydrodynamics, less weight, and lower cost. I just got a compact SPG from Scubapro. The end of its scale is 6000 psi and it has a max operating depth of 328 ft. with a "max scuba depth" (whatever that means) of 164 ft. It's approx. 2" in diameter and 1/2" thick.
