PADI has watered down training to the point where unless you are a complete blithering idiot you can get a C-card.. They have passed instructors that have no business being in the water let alone certifying 8 year olds.. It starts at the top and PADI has put the marketing director in charge and the inmates are running the asylum...
When will the insanity end???????????? If the top of the food chain doesn't expect or demand excellence and is willing to accept mediocrity than the card is worth the paper the damn patch comes on...
Did you read that announcement???? Studies have shown that children respond to patches!!!!!!!!!!!! What are they pavlovian dogs???? Show 'em a fancy looking patch so we can sell them a c-card.....
PADI has lost their soul, they've lost there mind and they are a embarassment to the sport...
Terry had one of the funniest lines ever when we were on the deck on day making fun of all the PADI patches and he pretending to spin a wheel ( ala wheel of fortune ) and asked what speciality PADI would be *giving* away that day...
Matt you are young enough were you will benefit greatly from working under a guy like Jim.. Listen to him and get the hell out of the PADI spin o rama as quickly as you can...
